Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to go riding with Owrstrich like I did a few weeks ago with Flying Duck. But I did get to meet Mickey (sp?) and him for breakfast and chat for a while.

Moment of the day:
When discussing the tank leak problem of last year and the flap/vent hose fix that Ted Porter fixed up for me, I mentioned that the tank was pressurizing (due to the poor vent hose design). This helped cause the pinhole leak. The severe pressure would cause gas to shoot out the fine hole and into the side of my left leg, just above the knee. At which point, I said...

"All of the sudden I notice my pant leg is wet."

The waitress two booths away and behind the bar got this real funny look on her face. It was priceless.

Apparently that was the only part she heard of the converstation.

We went outside and he gave my bug laden, dirty K1100LT a look over. I got to peek at his RS. Well, a few parts of it under the cover.

Johnny, maybe next time we'll have a chance to hit up some roads. I hope that route I sent you proves to be your cup of tea. They're all favorites amongst the locals.

i thought about taking a photo of the grubb... that was the exact instant when no more food was left on the plates... not even crumbs...

no photos of that crazy wench micki either... she is bashful....
