Good catch Jim!
This place is a rare haven because it is a fantastic group of folks - without the people it would just be bare walls.
So I say, thanks to all of YOU _________________ Ted

5 years ago I bout my 93K1100rs and this board is were I got the info I needed to scope it out. I love this bike. A good friend of mine was a lead mechanic for Butler and Smith and everytime he sees my bike he points and says "thats the best bike BMW has ever built, right there." I tend to agree, for now. This board has been a wonderful aid as well as helped me care for a lot of issues myself.
Thanks!! _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Happy Anniversary Ted. Thanks for starting this up. It seems to have grown quite a lot over the last few years.
Speaking of Butler Smith, I have a buddy in Manila (we met when I lived there) that used to work for them a hundred years ago. I think he's about 70. He may be buying my old Honda Hornet 600 that I 'used to' own there. My soon to be ex-wife has it now - long story. He showed me a photo of himself on a new (at the time) R60/2, He was just a pup then. |

Thanks from me too.
Without this forum my K1100 would have me already in the looney bin. With the advice I have received here, perhaps I can stave off insanity a bit longer.
(Was that a compliment??)
Thanks, really.

Ted,
The thought, that a common interest could generate a community such as this. AMAZING!!! BRILLIANT!!! The amount of combined experience / expertise and knowledge found here, and the fact that is freely shared without a second thought, is truly amazing.
Thanks,
