I just got off from a short ride (45 min) and went back out to the garage for something and heard a humming, more like a whining noise from the bike. I tried turning the key off and on. The noise would stop and then later start up again. '
The front fork seals have just been replaced so the brakes and ABS were disconnected and reconnected.
Can't figure it out.

Maybe a faulty fuel pump relay? (Wild guess.)

Put your ear to the gas tank - mid way along the left side.

K bikes were referred to by non-K owners as "K whiners" because of the sound the fuel pump makes.

Sounds like you still have the one-way valve in the fuel tank vent line. It will vent once the pressure is up to about 2psi. Open the fuel cap when you hear this noise, it'll stop. Smile
