Snow's finally of our road and I was cleaning the K to start commuting on her again. Got her all buff and turned the key on, no headlight. Shocked Wait, I have high beam but no low. So I pull the plug and insert testing light, High beam wire modulates the test light but no low beam volts. Crying or Very sad
So, where do I start. The last place I worked on. Nooo. I pull the light switch apart and check volts there. I've got high and low power. So off comes the seat and tank to get at the wire that disappear underneath.
Then it hits me, with my baby in bits all over the shop, Duck's LED cluster conversion I did last month. I pulled the windshield panel to get at the back of the cluster so why not look in there, it' only one more part to tear off this son of a bitch.
Evil or Very Mad
When I pulled that panel and looked in there was the low beam wire (I had wire tied all the excess wiring as long as I was in there) torn loose from it's posi-loc. Doh! When I had reinserted the windshield assembly it had pulled it loose.
So here's the lesson I never seem to learn. When something goes wrong, take a minute to think, it might save you a lot of time although you will loose the disassembly practice. Wink
