one of our favorite donkeys... hes at prosperity and tulare county road 152...aints seen him since september... hes gotts a buddy now...
ca 198...
the spring wild flowers are in full bloom...
heres one of those jc penny mail order houses... im sure the geezers remember them...
the bridge before sequoia national park... we turned around and back tracked to lemon cove...
heading south from lemon cove... into the foothills to springville...
the valley we just crossed... didnt see another person along this 40 mile stretch... it was so quite it was spooky...
turkeys everywhere... stopped to snap this tom...
through the valley... over the hills... thru the valley and there be springville...

That smoked meat you send everyone isn't donkey is it. I know, donkey isn't cloven hoofed, but I had to ask. Maybe you should send me some for inspection. PM me for local. By the way, great pics, it's still snowing here in God's country. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Obviously, it's all timing and route planning. I DO need to get back there sometime to adjust my impressions...

I think there's a correlation between God's country being further from hell... _________________ tlp

i went the other way 1 up today...
the 245 north heading the the big trees...
steep and winding... humm... bees...
now we are getting into it...
the big trees are way over there under them clouds...
i could not get any pictures of the steep and winding... cause... its was steep and winding... one of the steepest and winding roads i have ridden...
but there was sand... rocks... snow... water... and switchback after switchback... no place for me to pull off to take pictures... and i didnt want to stop in the road and chance getting run over... eventhough i didnt see another person except 1/2 way in a place called badger ca...
so i get to the 198 and the sigh says big trees 6mi... but im really low on fuel... im at 170 miles and my light has been on for 20 miles... so i went left for fuel instead of right for the big trees... although i could have coasted down from 6,000ft for fuel...
i was at 182 miles... has 1/2 inch in the tank... and i could only get 3.5gal in it...
ca 63 as it comes out of the hills...
ca 63 about 10 miles from my aggressive riding incident...
