|

I got a set of 50W driving lights from Wal-Mart that I was going to mount under the headlight. The kit comes complete with wiring and switch. I did not think that it would be wise to hook them into the headlight circuit, but is that circuit strong enough to handle them?
If not I was thinking of wiring them to the plug circuit. Why? Because I never use the plug, I use not electric gear other than the grips, so would that be an OK place to hook them in?
If not do I simply wire them to a battery with an inline fuse?
I am basically electriacally illiterate, but I know the basics. Advice would be greatly appreciated. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

| I soldered onto the Hi-beam switch inside the left hand control cluster to activate the PIAAs' relay. There's a little metal tab in there that fit the bill perfectly. You ARE using a delay, right? I used the stock Hi-Low switch so I could toggle them on and off without removing my hand from the handgrip. It works great, and just turning the relay on/off hasn't affected the stock switch for two years now. I also had my K75RT wired the same way with no issues. |
