Just happened on this at the Sierra Trading post site.....a Schuberth S1 helmet for $399 (retail $699). For those of you who appreciate them you should probably jump on this buy:

Allen,
Not to one up you or anything but check out:
http://www.extremesupply.com/escloseouts/escloseoutstreet.html#fullface
S1's in solid colors for $349.00 and $359.00 for flashy paint.
I love Schuberth helmets: I think they are built better then anything on the market and fit like a glove for my box head. The parts are the problem, they seem to still haven't sorted out their importing problems, so if someone were to buy one, buy the extra shields and anything you think you might need now!!! With that said, if I knew that I was going down, I would want a S1 on my head. _________________ Dom |

I just thought I would post it when I accidently found it today. I owned only one Schuberth and don't think I would own another. I've had Shoei, Nolan and Schuberth..........and since discovering Caberg's helmets, have pretty much settled on that line of helmets. They fit my bowling ball better then any other and have held up better then any of the others. The Schuberth metal parts didn't like the ocean weather here and the Nolan just never fit right. The Shoei was the top pick for me until I got my hands on the first Caberg (thanks to Rick at http://www.webbikeworld.com ) I've been in love with it ever since. But I know there are some diehard Schuberth fans out there...so between your link and the one I posted maybe someone can save some money.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone......
