Thank for letting us know Harriet,
Welcome back Phil,
I knew there was a reason I'm happier in a city; most of the scenary stays still and doesn't smell funny. Best wishes from this side _________________ Cheers,

Hi, All,
Well, it's been an interesting six months. I wouldn't wish what has happened to me on anyone, not even my worst enemy! I'm likely to be off the forum for short intervals for a little while, as I'm going back to work. The arm and shoulder have improved to the point the doctor released me to go back to work. So wish me luck. I hope it IS strong enough and I have the stamina to do what is necessary. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

You had a rough year no doubt Phil.
But your strength has been an inspiration to me and I am sure many others on this forum.

From my own experience, gradually "reintroduce" the shoulder to it's tasks. If it seems to strain, use the other one to assist or do the whole task. A lot of recovering from an injury like yours is to think through the task and diminish the impact of any movement. If you are not sure the shoulder can do it, STOP and think it through.
Best of luck and Have a BETTER new year!
Regards,

Hi, Drake,
I'm fine. I have probably 80% use of my right arm. Last May I rode from El Paso to Raleigh, NC and back. I plan to do the same thing in May (this time, remembering to go THE CORRECT WEEKEND so I can meet others at Hungry Mother State Park) and, later in the year, ride to your place to attend Hungry Dundee I. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

If you need a bed on the way, Phil, we could ride over together from here. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Hi, Scott,
I haven't been in Idaho since 1962 when our family took a camping trip from FL to NY to WA to CA to FL, 11k miles in 6 weeks. You've just given me a good reason to visit there again! I'll write (or call) you as the time gets nearer.
