I have a problem that is a result of recent knee replacement surgery. I'm finding great difficulty in bending my left leg back sufficiently to rest comfortably on the left peg and still be able to change gear. I could do with lowering both the peg and gear lever a max of 25mm so that it makes riding a pleasure and not a pain.

Does anyone have any idea where I can source anything??

Your help would be greatly appreciated as the only other alternative is to change bikes.

Thanks

Andre

Could try adjusting the angle of the shift lever down a bit.

I have long legs and huge feet and my lever is adjusted down about 2-3cm.

Another option is to move your backside upwards with an aftermarket
taller made to your spec seat. I've never seen any peg lowering kits
for these bikes, but I've been wrong before. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the replies. I had thought of getting on of the airgel cushions to raise my bum but as i'm 6ft 4" at present the thought of sliding off sideways didn't appeal.

I had also thought of buy a spare gear lever and footrest from motorworks and having them 'doctored' so that they had a dogleg in them. That's my next project.

Thanks again for the replies

Andre

An aftermarket seat will push you back a few notches as well, allowing you enough knee room to be comfortable.

I am 6'3" and with the stock seat I could not even fit behind the fairings unless I rode the "hump".

When I got a Corbin Dual Canyon seat I had plenty of legroom.
