I've been with Geico for a while and they were charging me a $150 a year but there was NO medical. Seems to me that medical would be the thing to have as a $5000 bike would be a lot easier to replace than the money spent on putting me back together again! Got a quote from Progressive for $300 something but it has $100,00 medical. What do the rest of you use? I use USAA for everything else and really like them but they price themselves out of insuring bikes.
I just went back and checked Progressive and for $250,000person/$500,000accident/$100,000property it's $390. a year/$31.68monthly.

i had allstate since i was 16... until last year... was tired of haggling with yearly price increases... 31 years without a claim... didnt give a sh1t...

i shopped everyone for a 99 jeep cherokee and a 94 bmw k1100rs...

i went with progressive on both...

BI/PD 100/300/100
UM BI 100/300
UM PD 10

k1100 $237 year
jeep $376 year
two policies less $50 discount = $563 for full coverage with $1000 deductable on both...

I was playing with the Progressive on-line quote page and it gives me $138/year to insure both the LT and the RS - that's only 25/50/10 liability and 25/50 uninsured though. No comprehensive or collision.

With comrpehensive and collision at $1000 deductible, it's $259. With $500 deductible, it's $291.

My auto/homeowners company wouldn't write me a motorcycle policy yet as I hadn't been riding for previous 5 years when I got my bike in '04.
I ended up with Progressive.

100K/300K/50K L/B/P
100K/300K Unin
100K/300K Under
5K Medical ( I know.... I need to increase)
Comp/Collision with 100/250 deduct
$260 per year.

I'm insured through Dairyland and pay a very low rate, however they are like Nazi's to deal with. An asshole "adjuster" tried to get me to take $2900 for a bike that was worth $4500 and claimed that he didn't know what the bike was worth. He was highly offended when I told him that I had been jerking my own dick for 55 years and didn't need some smart assed kid to try to "work me". I told him that if $2900 was his best offer, I would have to either take it up with the Pennsylvania State Insurance Commissioner and his boss. He suddenly "found Jesus" and agreed to pay me the $4500 plus 6% sales tax.
