You might want to look at that 4 pin connector under the right rear corner of the fuel tank. It carries the power to the fuel pump as well as the float that feeds the gauge.

Worst case the nut is stuck and it unscrews the bolt into the head. Not a big deal.

I would check the fairing mounting bracket closely. Those things crack if you look at them the wrong way.

The K1100RS has the 17"front and 18" rear.
