I just used a bleed pipe with non-return valve, and did the ABS modulator then the rear caliper, then repeated. And when the system had presuure, the hose to the caliper split! So check care ...

Damian, pull back the rubber at the front end of the cylinder, see if it's wet with fluid. Order a repair kit. 34 31 2 311 064.

Between the calipper halves it`s a o-ring which probably have come out of position when you did loosen the wrong bolts.
But you could be lucky, and only got air into the system............. ...

GM used timing gears with a plastic/nylon coating on them to keep them quiet. I believe the plastic bits found in your oil pan arebits of timing gear. Time new timing chain and gears!

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for awhile? Sometimes that will reset things.

I've tried that, but only for 10 minutes. I'll try it for longer.

The lights flash together until you ride off and it has a chance to test the sensors. If you're getting an error code at the diagnostic plug then it's in fault mode.

Sounds like your ABS brain might be fried. Try resetting it every few days and it MAY come back to life.
