So If it is a worn cam chain tensioner, is it like my Japanese bikes that it can be adjusted further or is it a case of a total new bottom adjuster?

My Bike 1995 LT was off the road for a while when I had overheating issues, but I don't ever recall it being that rattly or knocking that much, one guy here suggested its the rubbers in the monkey nut ...

Mine is doing that same knocking sound, but only when at idle, when you rev or ride it goes away. Any other thoughts please?
