So If it is a worn cam chain tensioner, is it like my Japanese bikes that it can be adjusted further or is it a case of a total new bottom adjuster?

My Bike 1995 LT was off the road for a while when I had overheating issues, but I don't ever recall it being that rattly or knocking that much, one guy here suggested its the rubbers in the monkey nut ... |

Mine is doing that same knocking sound, but only when at idle, when you rev or ride it goes away. Any other thoughts please?
