I just removed the back half of the fender and used a bent piece of alumimum to hold the license plate.

has worked well so far

Its going to be Input shaft seal I recon, I dont think that the clutch operating rod has gearbox oil seal but it might have, Either way its going to be Tranny off Crying or Very sad Confused

How do you get the rubber grommet in place if you don't remove the battery tray?

You can do it from inside the trans housing using a long screwdriver to push it down from the top.
