Yes engine cranks fine. I think the side stand switch must have been by-passed by a previous owner as the bike has always started side stand up or down for the last 4 years.

Thanks for info. Makes perfect sense in that position. I am trying to work out which is the load shedding relay.

I thought all the relays were in box under the tank but today have found 2 small grey relays next to the headlight with the fairing removed. Anyone any hints as to what they are.
