The 4 off OEM bolts for the main fairing bracket are listed as M6 x 20 (grade 8 Max torque for this bolt is 10Nm (7.5 lb ft). |

When you put the shaft in did you use a bolt and spacer or did you just drift it in. If the latter there is a high chance that you have damaged the ceramic water seal.

As the K1100 has the old three pin diagnostic connector, the GS-911 (without the discontinued adapter unit) will not connect to it.
