| I used to live in Manitoba, Canada, where temperatures sometimes dipped lower than -40. I always used a 50/50 coolant mix and never had a problem. |

| I used some of the same tub of general-purpose grease I use for everything, then protected the works with new gaiters. 10,000 or so miles later, everything seems fine. (Knock wood.) |

The tank connector is a common point of failure. Replace it thusly:

It's the hole in front of an engine which points to the bottom. Normally hidden by lower fairing.

| There is no drain. Coolant coming out a weep hole probably means failed seals in the water/oil pump. |
