I have never had a u-joint failure but have had failure of the rubber insert within the driveshaft. It would slip worse after bike had warmed up and progressively get worse the longer rode.

I have 2 seats for sale, one is a standard height black Sargent, and the other is a low height black Corbin seat. Asking $250 each. PM me for pictures.
